Who Gets to Decide Bengaluru?

A park. A lake. A piece of grassland. A landfill. These can look like very different things, but each is the result of decisions - about land, development, livelihoods and who gets a say.

Many of the commons we enjoy today have intriguing histories of citizen intervention - people who noticed something changing, understood what was at stake, found the right information, built public pressure and sometimes went to court. The recent movement to preserve Lalbagh served a strong reminder.

This month, we’re bringing together people who have been close to these questions and who KNOW THE SYSTEM to share something every citizen should know: how change happens on ground, what citizens around us have fought for, and what tools are available to us to shape Bengaluru’s thriving future.
