Unheard: An Evening of Poetry, Music, and Stories in Aid of Deaf Children

Some of Bangalore’s best artists are coming together for an evening of poetry, music, dance, and improv to raise funds for the children of the Sheila Kothavala Institute for the Deaf (SKID).

Organised by the People of the Verse poetry community, the fund raiser is built around the theme Unheard.

Unheard is an evening about the questions you’re told not to ask, the stories history asks you to forget, the anger you learn to tame, the ways authority shuts you down, and what happens when you speak up. Through poetry, music, improv, and dance, the performers explore how we are silenced, how we survive it, and what it means to push back and resist.
