About the event
Last year, through the Alli Serona Collective, Purpose highlighted the need to shift gears in response to heat in Bengaluru , especially from the perspective of informal workers. This May, we invite you to a two-day event in Bengaluru co-created with partners that showcases these perspectives, and the unique challenges and solutions to heat stress that the city experiences.
Over two days, alongside the Neralu Heat Shelter, we will be highlighting not just the challenges of heat for those disproportionately impacted, but the different solutions that partners are incubating through:
Performance art & interactive theatre (Day 1)
Interactive panel discussions & co-creation with community leaders, and leading experts on public policy and climate action (Day 2)
Mix-media exhibits of the other heat shelter designs, voices from the community, and visual data (throughout)
