Rafoo:Bengaluru Body Memories Workshop

Body Memories is a hands-on workshop to reflect on our relationships with our bodies and the myths, rules, and demands that have been imposed upon them. Through body mapping, stitching, and collective reflection, participants will explore how stories about our bodies have shaped us and transform these into stitched truths of their own creating textile archives of body memory, resistance, and feminist solidarity.

Rather than aiming for perfection, we’ll embrace irregular threads, raw edges, and visible mends as part of the story. Together, we’ll explore what it means to tend to what we need in fabric, and perhaps within or around us. “Rafooghar” (The House that Mends) is a community space in south-east Delhi for marginalized women to gather and engage in stitching as a form of emotional repair, rest, and resistance.
