What do textiles and choreography have in common? Join acclaimed choreographer and arts entrepreneur Madhu Nataraj (Director, Naatya Institute of Kathak & Choreography) and celebrated textile artist Bappaditya Biswas for a rich, interdisciplinary conversation on tradition, innovation, and the body in motion—whether through fabric or dance.
This dialogue accompanies Weftscapes, an exhibition of Indigo-dyed Jamdani kimonos by Bappaditya Biswas, on view at Sabha from July 24–27.

About Bappaditya Biswas:
Bappaditya Biswas is a leading Indian textile artist and social entrepreneur, renowned for his innovative contributions to Bengal handloom weaving. He co-founded the brand Bai Lou and the iconic Kolkata store Byloom, both of which merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics. Biswas has traveled globally to study dyeing and weaving traditions, and one of his weaves has been honored with the UNESCO Seal of Excellence.
