Explore an evocative showcase of Indigo-dyed Jamdani kimonos by acclaimed textile artist and social entrepreneur Bappaditya Biswas. Known for revitalising Bengal's handloom traditions through innovative materials and storytelling, Biswas presents a contemporary interpretation of Jamdani that challenges boundaries—of craft, geography, and garment. Alongside the exhibition, join us for an artist talk on July 26, (RSVP separately) where he shares insights into his process, his use of organic indigo, and the evolving identity of handloom weaving in India.


About Bappaditya Biswas:

Bappaditya Biswas is a leading Indian textile artist and social entrepreneur, renowned for his innovative contributions to Bengal handloom weaving. He co-founded the brand Bai Lou and the iconic Kolkata store Byloom, both of which merge traditional craftsmanship with contemporary aesthetics.
