The sari is never just a piece of cloth. It is a journey woven through generations.
As little girls, many of us dream of the day we would finally wear one. We begin by clumsily wrapping it around ourselves, tripping over loose pleats, pretending to be grown up. We find comfort in the softness of our grandmother's well-worn cotton sari, breathe in its familiar fragrance, and feel wrapped in love. We remember the crisp, starched saris of our teachers that spoke of grace, discipline, and quiet strength.
