Folk and Tonic- Live in Concert

Folk & Tonic (previously known as The Bangalore Company, founded in 2017) is an all-women vocal ensemble from Bangalore. The group’s sound is intimate and collaborative, rooted in close harmony and ensemble singing. Their work centres on vocal blend, strong individual voices, and collective storytelling.

Their repertoire spans Eastern European, Russian, Japanese, African, Afro-Cuban, Indian, and Ladino folk traditions, drawing on the rich harmonic and rhythmic textures of global folk music and shaping them through their own vocal identities. Whether performed a cappella or with instrumental accompaniment, the voice remains at the core of everything they do.
