Aboriginal Cry

Aboriginal Cry explores the struggles of communities displaced by six mega-dams in Manipur, including Khuga, Khoupam, Singda, Thoubal, Loktak, and Dolaithabi projects. Despite huge investments, the promised benefits, of irrigation, electricity, and clean water, remain largely unmet, while fertile lands are submerged. Through a poetic, embodied performance, the play mediates between the visible and invisible, highlighting the human and environmental costs of these development projects.
